Investment Firm Announces US Patent Award - Potential to Significantly Alter Online Businesses Use of Email

A patent application for this technology, operating under the brand name eStationer®, was first filed in 2003 and issued on June 24, 2008.

eStationer is software technology that operates on a computer server either located inside a company or as an online application on the Internet. eStationer receives email, adds valuable elements to this email and sends it on its way to the intended recipient. Part of the software permits an administrative individual to centrally control what elements are added to all or some of the email across a business or user group. One of these elements is a proprietary form of interactive advertising; Advertising Over Email (AOE) ®.

This now patented invention has the potential to significantly alter how online businesses communicate with their customers through email. This is especially true for those businesses that maintain and operate large online customer data bases such as Airlines, Banks and Online Retailers. Rather than sending out plain email, companies can now send out rich email that helps communicate and add value to their brand while increasing the potential for additional sales.

JCI has already received requests to license its technology and at least one inquiry regarding the purchase of its patent. JCI is currently developing a licensing plan that will enable responsible entities to license JCI's patented technology on mutually agreeable terms and conditions. Substantial revenue is anticipated from the plan as many online businesses are currently using technology based on JCI's patent.
