Wickes Furniture Company, Inc., to Open Retail Showroom in Tanasbourne, OR
Wheeling, IL (PRWEB) July 11, 2007 -- Wickes Furniture Company, Inc., a Sun Capital Investment Company and one of the nation?s largest furniture retailers, is opening a new retail showroom in Tanasbourne, Oregon ? its fifth in the Portland area. The 40,000 square-foot showroom, located at 17275 NW Cornell Rd., is scheduled to open July 19.
?We appreciate the residents of the Portland area, who have been instrumental in our growth in the Oregon marketplace,? said John Disa, Wickes Furniture president and CEO. ?Tanasbourne is the second showroom we?ve opened in the area in the last three months, following closely the May launch of our Keizer Station location. Along with our other locations in Clackamas, Delta Park and Tigard, the two new showrooms enable us to better serve the market.?
As a part of the grand opening celebration, Wickes has scheduled festivities from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28 and July 29, including:
? Appearances by celebrity interior designer Frank Fontana (www.frankfontana.net), host of HGTV?s popular shows ?Design on a Dime,? and ?Takeover My Makeover,? who will share decorating tips and answer consumers? interior design questions. Consumers can register to win a one-on-one design consultation with Fontana by visiting the showroom during regular business hours beginning July 19 and continuing until 12:30 p.m. on July 29. Winners will be selected via drawings at 1 p.m. July 28 and 29.
? Personalities from local radio stations KKCW, KINK, KRSK and KUPL giving away free furniture, gift cards and valuable discounts.
? Refreshments (hot dogs, chips, pretzels and popcorn) and family entertainment (clowns and magicians) on July 28 only.
The new Tanasbourne state-of-the-art retail showroom will feature a natural brick exterior. Inside, brushed metal, wood trim, large glass facades, hundreds of accessories, and other embellishments will be arranged in casual, contemporary, traditional and country room group collections to showcase Wickes? stylish furniture. The fully accessorized room settings were specially selected to inspire shoppers to update existing rooms, or create entirely new looks for their homes ? stylishly and affordably.
The Tanasbourne location will also have a mattress gallery with a wide selection of brand names, including Sealy, Simmons, Nature?s Bed, and Tempur-Pedic.
Regular showroom hours will be Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. On July 28 only, the store will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
